    • Located in beautiful downtown Ludington, Jamesport Brewing Company serves award-winning beers and great food in a renovated historic building. Jamesport Center is a late Victorian six storefront complex. The earliest section was completed in 1890 and was occupied by the Red Andrews Saloon and the Central House Hotel. It was built by August Tiedemann, a noted local builder and architect, for two Swedish brothers, "Red" Andrew Johnson and Axel Johnson. It largely served sailors of the Great Lakes during the booming days of logging in Western Michigan. The ground level store-fronts of the buildings have been used for a wide variety of trades over the past 120 plus years, including a butcher shop, a millinery, a theatorium, a dry cleaners, a hardware store, a clothing shop, various furniture stores, the State Liquor Control Commission store, a bicycle shop, the local headquarters for the National Maritime Union, and currently, Sunset Bay Antiques and Jamesport Brewing Company.

    • The Mason County Hist. Society oversees Historic White Pine Village and The Port of Ludington Maritime Museum. The Port of Ludington Maritime Museum began when the Coast Guard built its new station in 2004, decommissioned the 1934 station, and turned it over to the City of Ludington. The museum brings history to life with digital storytelling, authentic images and artifacts, and engaging interactive exhibits that entertain, enlighten, and inspire a deeper appreciation for the region's maritime history. Located in the former U.S. Coast Guard Station, now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this family-friendly, three-story museum overlooks Lake Michigan's wild shoreline, Ludington's iconic North Pier Light, and the historic carferry Badger, extending the maritime experience beyond its doors in this vacation wonderland.
