After 30 years in nursing, Jan felt an urgency to leave it to start her own business: EVILENA'S RED DRESSER. It's a unique consignment store with an eclectic mix of traditional, retro, vintage, rustic and upcycled furniture pieces, Dixie Belle paint, classes, home decor & women's apparel. It's staged to inspire using old or typical items in a new way. Her mom would encourage her to create anything she wanted out of things most people would throw away. She had an old dresser in the basement a family member made, which Jan painted and used many times. When she opened EVILENA'S RED DRESSER, she painted it red, her favorite color. That is how she got the name for the store - Evilena is Jan's mother! That red dresser is still in the store (but not for sale, of course.) Jan's goal is to pursue excellence - a constant work in progress - and to serve the community, as God leads. Evilena's Red Dresser is growing and ever changing!
